Photo shopping
A friend of mine who sells real estate told me to check out the work of Larry Malvin, who, judged by his website, does yeoman work as a photographer of pricey houses for sale as well as more artistic shots of landscapes.
What she specifically wanted me to take a look at were what he calls “image enhanced” cityscapes of Chicago like these

Am I wrong to find them treacly, sentimental, and even a little creepy? I am hoping he intends them as kitsch.
Their manicured, super-saturated diorama quality make me think of Thomas Kincade [“Painter of Light” (TM) ]
whose work it’s hard to beat when it comes to treacle and sentimentality.
