Lost in translation

I want to stand behind the people at Chicago’s Dankhaus, the German-American Cultural Center, for taking pride in the building it occupies on Western Avenue.

But I couldn’t help but point out their fracturing of the French language in their otherwise noble campaign to improve the building’s skin.

Maybe somebody should send them a German-French dictionary.
